Thought Process for Creating Art Pieces for the Sounds of Inclusion Event
" I aimed to highlight African culture and the experience of deafness through the theme of sound waves. I’ve incorporated sound waves into body art, hair pieces, and jewelry to visualize what these waves might look like if visible to the human eye. The sound waves are both symbolic and literal, bridging abstract and tangible concepts. Additionally, the art pieces are named after both fictional and real characters from across Africa, adding depth and cultural context to each creation."
